Knowledge Management and Monitoring

The overall goal of the HealthLink cluster is to disseminate knowledge. This is undertaken through the strategic use, analysis and distribution of health and related information to enhance evidence-based management. HealthLink is also involved in advocacy and equity projects which serve to improve the quality and availability of reliable information and support the implementation of the National Strategic Plan.

Health & Development Networks

HDN is a non-profit organisation with substantial experience in managing and moderating electronic discussion forums and providing communication support to conferences. The mission of HDN is to mobilize a more effective response to HIV/AIDS and other health-and-development-related issues by improving information, communication and the quality of debate.

Mpilonhle Project

Mpilonhle Project is the community component for the HIV/AIDS anti-retroviral rollout (ARV) at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital in partnership with the Communicable Disease Clinic (CDC).The joint partnership is called Augmented Community HIV Action Project (ACHIVA), and is funded by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) Secure the Future (STF) Program. Mpilonhle works to assist orphans and vulnerable children and people living with HIV and AIDS.
