Health Systems Trust is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation that supports the development of an equitable and comprehensive health system for the provision of quality health care in South and southern Africa.

PURPOSE:

HST wishes to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to provide leadership, secure sustainable funding, develop and execute strategic plans and organisational policies and to ensure good governance, with the support of the Board of Trustees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In concluding our 2011/2012 financial year, HST looks back on a very inspiring and successful twelve months. Inspiring because this was the year during which we celebrated 20 years of excellence in the area of health systems strengthening with exuberance and with continued service to our client communities. Successful because we added two large projects to our already impressive portfolio that allow us to further entrench our significant contribution to health systems strengthening in southern Africa.

Health Systems Trust (HST) will celebrate twenty years of supporting health service delivery in South and southern Africa in 2012. This is a long time in the life of any non-governmental organisation and we attribute this to HST’s enduring commitment to quality and never being content to deliver simply technically correct products and services that merely meet the minimum requirements of health systems strengthening policies and frameworks. Through our work we strive to inspire – not only our clients, but also ourselves. We strive to be associated with products and services that are inspirational and we realise how important it is to have our own internal systems operating like clockwork to enable us to execute our vision and mission.
