5th International Conference on Lifelong Learning in Pharmacy

The Road Less Traveled -The Professional Journey to CPD. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an active process that is learner centered. The pharmacist is required to assess and identify their needs, develop a plan to meet those needs, participate in appropriate learning activities, practice new skills, evaluate their needs… and the cycle continues. The pharmacist must be active throughout the process. The educator is required to provide programming that meets the identified learning needs and facilitates individual learning. For the educator and the learner, this is a paradigm shift, a new path, a road less traveled. What is the international experience in moving along this new path? Some are relatively advanced and some are contemplating the implications of change. Is change necessary and if so, how can it be accomplished? Can we travel the path together?
