We are seeking to appoint an IT professional for technical support and Internet Development for the Health Systems Trust. The incumbent will be based in Durban. Responsibilities: * Maintain and develop the programs, services and security required for all of HST's web sites (Linux and some NT platforms) * Manage all technical-related Web activities * Maintain and develop server related functions especially on the Linux servers including mail, DHCP, security (in consultation with the IT Manager) * Ad hoc training of HST IT staff on areas of expertise Requirements: * An appropriate IT or computer degree or national diploma or equivalent * 3 years relevant experience; including: * General skill (preferred products) * Linux / FreeBSD server administration * Web server administration (Apache, PHP) * Server Administration (DHCP, SAMBA, LDAP, Squid) * Firewall administration (IPFW) * Database development and administration (MySQL) * Mail server administration (preferably Postfix) * List server administration (preferably Mailman) Remuneration: A salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience is available.
