Launch of the 1997 South African Health Review

For the third consecutive year the Health Systems Trust will release its much publicised South African Health Review, recognised barometer of the progress of reform in the health service. This year's health review is frank in its assessment of successes and failures, but expands its scope of information by including a survey of the realities in clinics in every province in the country.

A project proposal is a written document which describes the project you are planning to do. The Health Systems Trust (HST) uses your proposal to decide whether or not to fund your project. Your proposal should therefore try to convince us that your project is worth doing, that you know how to do it, and that you are an appropriate person to be doing this research. You also need to convince us why and how the results will have a beneficial effect on health systems in South Africa.

The Impumelelo Innovations Award Trust awarded the Integrated Nutrition Programme (INP) from the Health Systems Trust a silver award for its innovative work in the field of food security and community development at an awards ceremony held in Cape Town on Saturday 06/03/04
