Rural Health Conference

2004-09-21 to 2004-09-23

The Department of Health, in partnership with the Health Systems Trust are hosting a rural health conference. The conference will be held at the Ocean Conference Centre in Durban.

The theme of the conference is: Towards Better Rural Health Care.

The objectives of the conference are:
• To showcase the achievements in strengthening service delivery in the 13 rural nodes
• To Share lessons and best practices
• To share the experiences of the progress made in the rural nodes
• To identify major areas of concern and develop strategies to correct those and mechanisms to strengthen the delivery of PHC and
• To endorse the Rural health strategy.
