2005-11-18 to 2005-11-18The Health System Trust in collaboration with the Africa Regional Sexuality Resource Centre and the School of Health Systems and Public Health of the University of Pretoria, cordially invites you to the 2nd of the 2005 series of the understanding Human Sexuality Seminar in South Africa.
This edition will focus on the issue of Sexuality, Violence and HIV/AIDS . Presenters will explore questions such as: Is there interplay between forced sex and risk of HIV infection among South Africa youth? Is there an intersection between gender based violence (GBV) and HIV/AIDS in conflict situations in Africa ? Is there a disproportionate gendered response to ARV treatment how do issues of sexuality and power play out in ARV clinics?
