2nd Wits HIV/AIDS in the Workplace Research Symposium


2007-12-06 to 2007-12-07

Funded by DFID, Wits Business School, and The University of the Witwatersrand

Wits Business School (WBS) will be hosting a second HIV/AIDS in the Workplace Research Symposium on the 6th and 7th of December 2007. The aims of the two-day symposium are to strengthen the existing network of researchers, and to promote and disseminate high quality research on HIV/AIDS in the workplace in an accessible manner among academics, business people and other interested stakeholders with a view to informing workplace practice.

Call for Abstracts: Papers are invited on any topic dealing with HIV/AIDS in the Workplace

Deadline for All Proposal Submissions: 31 March 2007

All proposals should be submitted via email no later than 31 March 2007 to sprague.c@wbs.ac.za. Notification of research awards and approved abstracts will be made by 30 April 2007. Final papers for all participants will be due on 31 October 2007 for presentation at the symposium. Funding awards will be disbursed on receipt and presentation of final papers meeting the standards laid out in the submitted abstract.

30 April 2007 - All participants notified of outcome, Initial feedback provided on proposals, Steering Committee establishes and circulates themes for symposium
31 October 2007 - All final papers due
