It includes self- care and all health workers and facilities up to and including the hospital at first referral level and appropriate laboratory, other diagnostic and logistic support services. Primary Health Care: The principal vehicle for the delivery of health care at the most local level of a country's health system (In South Africa at the district level). Public Health: Organized efforts of society to protect, promote, and restore people's health. It is the combination of science, skills, and beliefs that is directed to the maintenance and improvement of the health of all the people through collective or social actions.
