Health Statistics
The objective of this section is to present the best available data on a wide range of health and related indicators.  This should provide health planners and managers with easy access to data from a variety of sources.

Reported cases of cholera

DefinitionThe number of cases of cholera reported to the Department of Health.

Note: Since cholera transmission in South Africa is seasonal, occurring primarily in summer, data may be reported by season rather than by calendar year. In this case data labelled 2001/02 season would be data for August 2001 to July 2002.
