District Site Facilitator for KZN: Ulundi Region (Paulpietersburg and Vryheid areas)

HST/ISDS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced health professional to support the district management team (DMT) in developing the district health system (DHS) in KwaZulu-Natal, Ulundi Region.
ISDS, a program of HST, aims to demonstrate how health care delivery can be
improved through the district system. The ultimate goal is improved quality
of care.
HST/ISDS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced health
professional to support the district management team (DMT) in developing the district health system (DHS).
Duties and responsibilities:
In collaboration with the district management team, the facilitator need to:
- Define priority health and health service problems
- Design appropriate strategies to address these problems
- Provide support and training to district health workers
- Share lessons learnt with neighbouring districts and other ISDS sites
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have:
- A basic degree in health or social sciences
- experience in the public health sector and
- be prepared to travel extensively and spend half of the working time in
KZN working with members of the Department of Health at all levels.
A postgraduate diploma or degree in public health or family medicine will be a recommendation. Possession of one’s own car will be advantageous.
Remuneration is negotiable, based on a standard scale, experience and
qualifications.
