HST/ISDS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced health professional to support the development of the district health system (DHS) in the Western Cape.

District Site Facilitator for Western Cape

ISDS, a program of HST, aims to demonstrate how health care delivery can be improved through the district system. The ultimate goal is improved quality of care.

HST/ISDS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced health professional to support the development of the district health system (DHS).

In collaboration with the relevant management team, the facilitator needs to:

• Define priority health and health service problems
• Design appropriate strategies to address these problems
• Provide support and training to district health workers
• Share lessons learnt

The ideal candidate must have:

• A basic degree in health or social sciences
• experience in the public health sector and
• be prepared to travel

A postgraduate diploma or degree in public health or family medicine will be a recommendation. Possession of one?s own car will be advantageous.

Remuneration is negotiable, based on a standard scale, experience and qualifications.
