HST seeks to employ a Support Services Manager to plan and manage the Support Services of the organisation, to meet the needs of the organisation, its staff, management and Board of Trustees.

JOB PURPOSE:

To plan and manage the Support Services of the organisation, to meet the needs of the organisation, its staff, management and Board of Trustees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • HR systems and procedures
  • Administrative systems and procedures
  • IT systems and procedures
  • Manage Section staff
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Ensure that all HST internal policies are updated and available to all staff
  • Provide support to the CEO in organizational business planning, progress reviews, internal communication and change management
  • Support to the Board of Trustees, HST Executive and Management Committee.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University or Technikon Admin / HR Degree / diploma or equivalent
  • 5 7 years experience in support services including HR management experience
  • Experience in change management, and / or diversity management would be an advantage.

Competencies

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Ability to lead as well as work in a team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage people in a participative and empowering way
  • Computer, including spreadsheets, database management, word-processing, and internet/e-mail.

Location : Preferably Durban, but Gauteng or Cape Town could also be considered.

Remuneration: A salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications and in line with the HSTs Job grading will be offered to the successful candidate.

This is a 1 year contract position, and will be extended depending on the incumbents performance and need for the position by the HST.
