Manager : Support Services
HST 2004-11-15
HST seeks to employ a Support Services Manager to plan and manage the Support Services of the organisation, to meet the needs of the organisation, its staff, management and Board of Trustees.
JOB PURPOSE:
To plan and manage the Support Services of the organisation, to meet the
needs of the organisation, its staff, management and Board of Trustees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- HR systems and procedures
- Administrative systems and procedures
- IT systems and procedures
- Manage Section staff
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Ensure that all HST internal policies are updated and available to all
staff
- Provide support to the CEO in organizational business planning, progress
reviews, internal communication and change management
- Support to the Board of Trustees, HST Executive and Management Committee.
REQUIREMENTS:
University or Technikon Admin / HR Degree / diploma or equivalent
5 7 years experience in support services including HR management
experience
Experience in change management, and / or diversity management would be an
advantage.
Competencies
Good writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think and plan strategically
Ability to lead as well as work in a team
Ability to work independently
Ability to manage people in a participative and empowering way
Computer, including spreadsheets, database management, word-processing, and
internet/e-mail.
Location : Preferably Durban, but Gauteng or Cape Town could also be
considered.
Remuneration: A salary package commensurate with experience and
qualifications and in line with the HSTs Job grading will be offered to the
successful candidate.
This is a 1 year contract position, and will be extended
depending on the incumbents performance and need for the position by the HST.
