Site Facilitator - Western Cape
HST/ISDS

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Facilitator to support the district development and strengthen the use of health information systems in the Western Cape in order to improve the quality of primary health care.

Responsibilities: Support the Western Cape in:-

  • Ensure ownership guidance and support from Provincial, District and sub-district managers and other key stakeholders
  • Assess the information system for programmes and support systems, and design, pilot and implement improvements
  • Strengthen capacity and systems to enable managers to use information effectively
  • Support the use of information for Provincial and district planning and reports
  • Linking information systems to quality assurance processes
  • Documentation of successful interventions

Requirements:

  • Appropriate university degree or equivalent in health systems development
  • Five (5) years experience in relevant field.
  • Facilitation skills
  • Good writing and communication skills (computer literacy)
  • Research and evaluation skills
  • Knowledge of Primary Health Care, district system development, local government, health information systems and priority health problems

Remuneration: A salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications and in line with the HSTs Job grading system.

This is a 1-year CONTRACT position, which will be reviewed annually depending on future needs.

The incumbent should be prepared to travel substantively.
