MANAGER : SUPPORT SERVICES

The Support Services Manager is responsible for the planning and management of the Support Services of the organization, to meet the needs of its staff, management and Board of Trustees.

(One year contract position)

Requirements:

University or Technikon Admin/ HR Degree/ diploma or equivalent
Sound experience in administration and human resources management
5- 7 years experience at management level in a similar position
Experience in change and/or diversity management

Key Responsibility Areas:

Planning, budgeting and financial management of support services HR systems and procedures management
Administrative systems and procedures management
Management of support services staff
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Ensure that all HST internal policies are updated and available to all staff
Participation in organizational business planning, progress reviews, internal communication and change management
Technical Support to the Board of Trustees, HST Executive and Management Committee

Proven Competence in the following:

Strategic and Operational Planning
Human Resources Management and Development
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Participative and empowering management style
Ability to lead as well as work in a team
Ability to work independently
Computer, including spreadsheets, database management, word-processing, and internet/e-mail.

Location : Prospective candidates should preferably be based in Durban .

Remuneration: A salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications and in line with the HST's Job Grading will be offered to the successful candidate.
