Project Manager Gauteng District Health Systems

HST is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to provide strategic and technical support to District Health Planning, District Expenditure Reviews, Service Transformation Plans, District Health Information Systems and Clinic Supervision in the Gauteng Province.


Location: Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

The successful incumbent will facilitate and provide technical support in the following areas :

  • Development of quality District Health Plans and operational Plans.
  • District Health Expenditure Reviews and link to District Health Plans.
  • Evaluate Health Plans using the guidelines.
  • Service Transformation Plans.
  • Clinic Supervision System.
  • Participate in provincial and other relevant forums.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in health or social science.
  • A Diploma or Masters Degree in Public Health and/or post graduate diploma/qualification in related fields will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • 5 years working experience in Public Health.
  • Thorough knowledge of Primary Health Care and the District Health System.
  • Working experience in the area of Service Transformation Planning, District Health Planning and Reporting, Health Expenditure Reviews and District Health Information System.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in facilitation skills, conflict management and managing diversity
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office programs)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid Code B driver&rsquos license (Code 08) and willingness to travel.

REMUNERATION:

A salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications and in line with the HST&rsquos job grading system will be offered to the successful candidate.
