The Health Systems Trust (HST) is pleased to announce the 2008 South African Health Review Cover Photography Contest.
ENTRY FORM
This photography contest has a total of R5 000 in prizes to be won and the winning photograph will appear on the cover of the 2008 South African Health Review (SAHR). Furthermore, the top 10 photographs will be showcased at the official launch of the SAHR in November 2008.
The Health Systems Trust (HST) is dynamic independent non-profit organisation, which supports the transformation and development of health systems and services since its inception in 1992. Our approach is to embrace a public health perspective with a focus on Primary Health Care. We support health systems development through research and disseminate information that influences both policy and practice.
Since 1995 HST has published the South African Health Review (SAHR) on an annual basis and its purpose is to highlight progress in key areas of the South African health system, to identify blocks to policy implementation and to make recommendations. This has rapidly become a flagship product of HST, and is widely read, used and quoted as an authoritative reference work in South Africa and abroad by national, provincial and local departments of health, politicians, academics, students, journalists and individuals in the private sector. The Review is distributed in hard copy (more than 800 copies), CD and in PDF format on the HST website. The SAHR receives substantial media coverage with a number of articles written in newspapers, distributed electronically as well as interviews on national and local radio stations.
The theme of the 2008 SAHR publication is, Primary Health Care in South Africa: A Review of 30 years since Alma Ata.
