Responsibilities: Support the implementation of clinical services for tuberculosis (TB) and HIV prevention, care and treatment for adults and children provide technical support for key interventions including antiretroviral treatment, prevention of mother to child HIV transmission, intensified TB case finding, infection control and isoniazid preventive therapy coordinate a clinical training and mentorship program support, supervise and mentor TB/HIV Care nurse mentors, clinical staff and community health facilitators in all project areas including sites in the Western Cape and KwaZuluNatal write monthly and quarterly reports on key programme indicators develop and maintain strong working relationships with governmental and non-governmental partners.
Requirements: MBChB registered as a medical practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa three years experience in TB and HIV clinical care and antiretroviral treatment experience in implementing training/mentoring programmes for TB & HIV care and antiretroviral treatment proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred skills and experience: Diploma in HIV management Master of Public Health or Epidemiology specialty in Community Medicine experience in development of training materials and assessment of training needs familiarity with PEPFAR reporting requirements exceptional English language written and verbal communication skills exceptional interpersonal and managerial skills and experience ability to work within a diverse team.
Frequent travel to sites within the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal will be required.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
