Keeping abreast with the latest international publishing trends, draft chapters of the District Health Barometer 2008/09 are being published on the HST website and later on CD. This will allow interested parties, researchers, health managers and policy makers to access chapters as they are made available, rather than having to wait for a printed publication.
The first chapter made available over the next few weeks is Part A: Indicator Comparisons by District. Chapter 1 deals with input indicators which include:
1.1 Total PHC Expenditure per Capita (available online)
1.2 PHC (Non-Hospital) Expenditure per Capita (available online as above with 1.1)
1.3 Proportion of District Health Services Expenditure on District Management (available online)
1.4 Proportion of District Health Services Expenditure on District Hospitals (available online)
1.5 PHC (Non-Hospital) Expenditure per Patient Visit (available online)
1.6 Cost per Patient Day Equivalent (available online)
