Pharmacists agree to resolve fee issue

IOL

The PSF decided that the court case initiated by pharmacists against government, which was due in the Pretoria High Court on
February 23 to 25, should be postponed indefinitely. PSF co-ordinator Ivan Kotze said it was important to ensure that the
entire medicines distribution chain, including community pharmacies, remained viable so that they could continue supplying
medicine to the public. Further discussions would take place between the two parties so that all options could be pursued.
The PSF was optimistic that the process would be transparent and fair.

The PSF represents around 80 percent of independent pharmacies in South Africa, making it the largest representative body for
pharmacists and pharmacies in the country
