| Summary |
South Africa is at a critical stage in the development of new policy directed at the private health industry. There are at present powerful forces within the industry driving it towards market solutions that are socially undesirable. However, the intention of this document is to utilise the recommendations of the Commission to raise discussion around many of the fundamental problems within the industry. From these discussions possible issues and areas for further evaluation are highlited. |
