Healthcare Workers Writing Development Programme

​​​​​To be considered for the Healthcare Workers Writing Development Progr​​amme​​ (download flyer)​, submit an application by Thursday 28 February 2019​​

The editors of the South African ​Health Review (SAHR) are excited to launch a new opportunity for practising healthcare workers that aims to capture the voices and experiences of people who are working in direct service delivery.

Points of discussion could include the following:

  • implementation of policies and programmes in your facility/district;
  • ​examples of innovation, good practices and multisectoral partnerships with demonstrated effectiveness;
  • implementation and scale-up of initiatives designed to strengthen the health system.

If you are a practising healthcare worker with something to say, but feel that you don’t have the

expertise to write such an article on your own, then the editors of the South African Health Review

would like to hear from you.

Interested individuals should submit a brief outline of the article you wish to write to

  • Applications must be submitted using the official Writing Development Programme Application Form which can be downloaded from the HST website

  • The outline may not exceed 300 words.

  • Submission of an application to the SAHR does not guarantee acceptance. All applications will undergo a systematic selection process.
